Indiana State House hopefuls talk utilities at Evansville forum

Candidates were able to speak to a packed room of potential voters Saturday morning during a candidate forum at St. John's East UCC in Evansville. The forum, hosted by LWVSWIN and the NAACP Evansville Branch 3088B, included candidates the Indiana State House
Indiana State Senate District 49 candidates Cindi Clayton, D, and incumbent Jim Tomes, R, both participated in the forum, as did Democrats Logan Patberg, running for Indiana State Representative District 76, and Sally Busby, running for Indiana State Representative District 78.
Patberg's opponent, incumbent Republican Wendy McNamara wasn't there. Busby's opponent, incumbent Republican Tim O'Brien, also didn't participate.
Each candidate had two minutes to say why they should be elected and one minute to answer each question. Many of the questions focused on higher utility costs.
